Problem With Awards

Hey guys! I've sneaked here again. HAHA! Tomorrow my class will only be from 6pm-9pm. That's harsh, right? GGRRR! But of course, I have to attend it. I'm still busy with some projects and I was tired of working on our thesis today. Forgive me for late replies guys. I know you understand that. My readers are the best! Yeah! *wink*

***********

I recently received my 2 new blogging awards. I've received some before but the problem is, I don't know how it works. I know I have to pass it but I don't know how to choose my winners because obviously I could just give it to those who are close to me. LOL! I also don't know if there is a fixed number for the winners. HAHA! It's funny 'cause it's just a minor problem but I'm just confused because I don't want to mess it up and do it the wrong way. :) hehe... So I guess... A little help here, please? :)

Skin Concerns

This was the continuation of my post yesterday. :)

While I was lying and playing on my phone, the dermatologist in the clinic arrived. It was my first time seeing her. She was young and beautiful. Well, what do you expect from a derma clinic, right? That's what I call convincing. HAHA! While I was waiting for my Diamond Peel, she asked me if I have any questions and concerns with my skin or any treatment. She was nice to ask me that though I have no questions so far but I asked her if there is a fee for consultations. And guess what? It's free! It's free specially if you're a customer. I was so delighted. Actually, the time she asked me that, my concerns were already answered by the attendants so no worries.

During my Diamond peel, everytime a procedure will begin, my attendant would tell me what she will be doing so when she told me that she will start my laser to close my pores, I asked her why she was putting some gel on my face. She told me that it was for the laser so I won't get hurt. I was surprised and told her that my old derma clinic doesn't do that and I can feel the laser pinching my face. She told me that using laser without the gel is useless and warned me that it's dangerous, also that it will really pinch without the cream. I was shocked and it made me feel like I don't want to come back there anymore. By that time, I remembered that a gel is always applied to a pregnant women if she wants to have her ultrasound. And that convinced me. I'm never coming back there! Plus, it makes me look swollen after my facial from my previous clinic. I feel like my face was bulgy and it usually last up to 3 days. This sometimes made me feel ashamed and don't wanna go walking around or going to school. :( Their customer service was degrading from my previous experience with them. I feel like they sometimes take their customers for granted specially for me who is just a student. I often experienced my reservation gone to waste and they made me wait for hours! I pay them good money and I am a customer so I think they should also consider me. I don't demand that they prioritize me but I would like them to respect me and my time.

My previous clinic also gives me good result with their facial but I think I like Dermaesthetique more. Although both facial from clinics result almost the same, I would really consider my safety first and which clinic gives more good service. That's why I'm never coming back to my previous clinic. It feels good to finally replace them. :)

Reward For Wanted Animal Crush Video Suspects

PETA has announced that they are willing to give a hundred thousand pesos (Php100,000 or approx. $2,300+) as reward in exchange of useful information or whereabouts of the suspects of the animal crush videos tipped by a Russian who pretended to be a customer. The Russian was given a link in order to watch the videos. There they found 68 more videos of animals who where crushed to death by minors. But not only that, these minors were only in their lingerie while doing this demonic act and they are also accepting request which animals to be killed according to the desires of their customers. However, investigators reported that the site is no longer available.

As soon as I've watched this in the news, my heart shattered to pieces. The videos in the news were blurred but you will still feel sympathy for the animals being killed in the videos. I don't want to detail the videos anymore because it breaks my heart just by typing this post. Plus, they're Filipinos as well! I despise Filipinos who do no good to their fellow citizen and even animals! Oh those no good human beings! They are more of an animal than the animals they kill! They are so filthy! I just wish karma gets them! Animals are living organisms as well and they deserve to be treated well and fair.

PETA has exposed these sadistic suspects namely Dorma "Chita" Ridon and Victor Ridon. They are a couple who are partners in crime. For any information about the whereabouts of this filthy people, kindly call or text PETA at 0999-8887382.

* Forgive me with my words but since this is a rant, I am using my privilege of throwing my anger using my harsh words in this post. Not to mention the filthy business they operate.

Sacrifices

Everybody's got priorities. And thus, we have to make sacrifices. We have to weigh certain situations and commitments so we can give way to more important activities.

This week will be very busy for me. The only good thing about today is that my duty was cancelled because something went wrong. I was one of the editors for our IT group ID project, alongside Deej who is also good with Photoshop. We want to share our skills and help our friend who was solely put in-charge of this ID project. We were supposed to make some IDs for the other members but unfortunately, the print quality of the sample ID didn't meet the expectations our group advisers. The colors were different from the design layout as seen in the computer. Therefore, we will continue the process until the new layout is refurbished.

Meanwhile, tomorrow will be the start of our midterm examinations, since I'm studying in a trimester school. It will be from July 26-28. Unfortunately, the concert of Incubus will also be on the 28th! And prior to that, my group and I will be conducting a research at the library of Ateneo De Manila University for our thesis. On the 29th, Friday, we will be attending the NAASCU opening and will also be watching some games. Attendance is a must so we can't argue with that. Plus, we also have to pay Php50(approx. $ 1.17) for the tickets that will be held at the Makati Coliseum. Our proposal defense will be on Saturday and so as my Graphika Manila Conference. Anyway, Graphika Manila is an annual multimedia conference for art and multimedia related employees, students and enthusiasts. Since, our defense will be on Saturday, we have to work overnight again for our thesis on Friday night. Well, that's a lot, right? So let me do a detailed recap.

Tuesday, July 26
- Midterm exam

Wednesday, July 27
- Library research at Ateneo De Manila University (Maybe we'll be spending 5-7hours depending on library hours)

Thursday, July 28
- Midterm exam, 3-5pm
- Incubus Concert, 8pm

Friday, July 29
- NAASCU, 7am
- Overnight, 9pm

Saturday, July 30
- Graphika Manila Conference, 8am
- Thesis Proposal Defense , 1pm

So, what do you think about my schedule for this week? Hectic, isn't it? We all have priorities and we have to make sacrifices. Thus, I choose to prioritize my school activities. Since I haven't purchased my tickets for the concert of Incubus (which I have waited for years and was dying to watch for), I've decided not to watch it anymore and try to rest to gain enough energy for my upcoming commitments. But I have a big problem. I've already bought my tickets for the Graphika conference during their early bird rate period which costs Php1,200 (approx. $28) that originally costs Php1,500 (approx. $35). My problem is that I am having second thoughts now of not attending it but I'm so frustrated with the lost of money from the ticket. This is really annoying specially that our thesis professor said that the defense won't be moved! In despair, I have posted a status on my Facebook account about selling my ticket. I've also texted some of my friends who were with me last year. I just hope they haven't bought tickets yet so I could still sell it. Now let's take a look at my edited schedule.

Tuesday, July 26
- Midterm exam

Wednesday, July 27
- Library research at Ateneo De Manila University (Maybe we'll be spending 5-7hours depending on library hours)

Thursday, July 28

Saturday, July 30

At least I have some time to rest, right? These sacrifices are just minimal for me because these are only my luxuries. But the only thing that makes it hard for me to let these go is the fact that some people don't consider others' time and prioritize their own leisure. I'm not gonna bring up who I'm pertaining to. If only people know how to manage their time and consider others' time as well. It's just heart aching to know that you manage your schedule as much as possible in order to meet your commitments while others do not.

Geckos For Sale

I've watched Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho (One at Heart, Jessica Soho) earlier this night and I was very alarmed with one of their featured stories in the show. The topic was about geckos (Tuko) that were being sold everywhere in the Philippines even in the internet, specially in Facebook. I've seen a lot of sellers advertise their gecko merchandises, as pets and medicines (as what they believe), in Facebook and I'm not glad about it. They were sold according to their weight. They heavier the weight is, the higher the price. But as they sell in the internet, the prices grows more than double!

It is believed that these creatures help cure sickness such as HIV, AIDS (like what was said from the show) and most popularly, asthma. However, it was not proven by science and is not advised by the Department of Health. The DOH still recommends certain medicines to be taken by specific patients instead of geckos.

Although these creatures are yet far from extinction, we should still take good care of them or let them live in peace. In fact, they help in balancing our ecosystem like eating insects that pests crops. No matter how small or big their contribution is- their extinction, if ever they become extinct, will somehow affect our ecosystem which is a bad thing.

Sudden Super Heavy Rain!

I'm riding a jeep on my way to school when suddenly, rain started pouring like crazy! It was pouring with big droplets, flashing lightning and loud thunders. I brought my umbrella with me but hey, it still made me wet. The streets were building up puddles and were crowded by people without umbrellas. I had a long walk just to get to my school. And guess what? In front of our school was a 2-inch high flood. HAHA! Pretty annoying now that I have to enter my class late and wet. Oh! And did I mention that I have my umbrella? I repeat! I have an umbrella and yet I was still wet! HAHAHA! Could you imagine how strong the rain was without a storm? The rain's really annoying if you're out on the street yet relaxing if you're just at home. :P HAHA!

I was suppose to blog something about my thesis but I think I shouldn't. Let's just say, it's top secret. But can you feel I'm happier now? :P hehe...

Feeling Down

Despite my continuous luck these past few days, I've finally met something bad. My group and I almost failed our title defense. We need to look for 3 new topics and do a re-defense on Saturday. That's just 1 week! :( Anyway, it is our last chance so we better work hard for it or else we'll fail! (Well, that's what our professor said.) That's why I'm feeling down and sad. I think I also feel depressed but I am struggling to fight these so I won't mess up and do things normally.

It is actually because of my title thesis last Saturday. I haven't got any sleep yet that day but we still proceeded to our school for our defense. My group and I stayed at our groupmate's house to work overnight. I still don't have the mood to tell the whole thing. :( In one of my posts, Mona from workingathome, commented and asked about it. I can't reply to her comment and even to the other comments because of what I'm feeling. I apologize to all of you for that. :(

The thing is that it's just a title defense but the panelists asked too much that it felt like it's already our proposal defense! Unlike the other groups. :( huhu... Oh, well... We'll just work hard for it and pray, pray, pray that we pass. I can't type about it anymore so I guess that's tah-tah for now. *Sigh*
