Parfait on a Holiday

First, I would like to apologize for disappearing more than a week. I was busy lately with our thesis and our final examinations. We had to pass a lot of requirements and projects, specially review and get ready for our tests. But I know my readers were kind enough to understand that, eh? :) hehe... I'll be posting some of my previous activities and reply to your kind comments after feeling well because I suddenly felt sick, so just you know.

This afternoon I had my 3rd session of my IPL hair removal at Dermaesthetique. Given that it's only the 3rd session so far, I'm already satisfied with the changes every other session. I also had a nice chat with my attendant. I told you they had good customer service. :) After that, I went to Robinson's Place Ermita because it's just around the corner. Very convenient, eh? I went to Iceberg and had a Strawberry Parfait. You can select your seat then they'll get your order. Oh, this ice cream craving's making me crazy being like this for weeks! Anyway, here's what the Strawberry Parfait at Iceberg looks like.

It tastes good and sweet but don't worry 'cause the waiter will give you a glass of water. That's a layer of strawberry, vanilla and strawberry ice cream. It also has some bits of peanuts in it once you reach the middle part and some strawberry syrup at the bottom. The only thing I didn't like in it was the strawberry fruit itself. It was frozen! I even chewed the ice because some of the fruit were covered with ice. I didn't enjoy the fruit. Plus, it tasted like cherry! It tasted syrup or some kind of medicine but cherry flavored. *Ugh!* I love strawberries that why I know if it's the right flavor or not. I consumed the cherry first then the strawberries that's why after that, I could finally say that I enjoyed it and it tastes good. :)

My New Favorite Derma Clinic

I never thought that I'd like other derma clinics out there other than my current clinic. I'm talking about the clinic that I've blogged before, Dermaesthetique. Because not only that they give good customer service, their quality is also worth the price. Not to mention that they have a lot of promos. *wink!*

I've had my 2nd IPL hair removal today at Dermaesthetique. Yet after my 1st treatment, I can already see the change of the hair growth. It was less than before compared to the normal hair growth and was slower. It was amusing and amazing at the same time. I'm very happy with the early result though I still have 4 unclaimed vouchers. At this rate, I know I'm getting the hang of it. LOL! I also had a Diamond Peel with Deep Cleansing Facial that I only got for Php500 (approx. $12). Wasn't that a great deal? I arrived late from my reserved schedule that's why I'm a little worried to have my slot taken. When I got there, I was so shocked! There were a lot of people sitting at the lounge! Though I had a reservation and 1 of the attendants there knows me already, I timidly asked about my reservation. They told me that those people were applicants and that I can be treated right away. Whew! Now that's a relief. LOL. I always choose an off-peak time for my schedule which is usually after lunch. I first had my IPL. After that, customers started arriving so I had delays with my Diamond Peel and facial treatment. I often experience that so I can say "I'm used to it.", plus, I had no commitments later on so why not wait. :) I always see to it that my day of beauty treatment is dedicated only for pampering myself. LOL.

I was supposed to blog about my full experience today but it was so long that's why I decided to cut it to hinder boredom from a long post. I'll post it tomorrow with a different title because most of it contains my questions and concerns about our skin which I asked them. Well maybe I can say it's quite informative. *wink!*

Good Customer Service From Dermaesthetique

Last Thursday, I had my first IPL underarm hair removal. I called the clinic last Monday to have it scheduled a few days before. I bought some discount voucher from Megadeals. The voucher was an 88% discount for an IPL Hair Removal with Bleaching at Dermaesthetique which originally costs Php3000 (approx. $70). And guess what? I got it for only Php350 (approx. $8). Yipee! A customer can buy 10 vouchers max but I only bought 6. Before buying I called them first and inquired about it which they gladly answered all my questions. Well you know how I'm a bit nosy with details, eh? :) hehe...

So far, Dermaesthetique has 3 branches in the Philippines, Makati, Malate and Ermita. I scheduled mine in Ermita because it's nearer to me. hehe... Though I'm familiar with the place, I searched the location through Google Map so I won't get lost and to save money from fare. LOL. My scheduled time was supposed to be 6:30pm but since our professor was absent, I came there earlier than expected. No worries though because I intended to be earlier in case of heavy traffic and I was also willing to wait as well. There were only a few people so I've thought that I won't be waiting long. *Whew!* I notified the receptionist about my appointment then sat at the receiving area. She made me fill up a form for record concerns then I gave her my voucher.Oh by the way, she welcomed me with a smile. :) hihi...

Their clinic was not big but very tight and clean. Though I'm not sure if it's big or small because I didn't search the whole clinic. There were no annoying and/or disgusting smell specially those nasty chemical fumes you smell like the ones in salons(e.g. hairspray, etc). The attendants were nice and friendly. You can hear them talking to their customers behind the blinds and it looks like they were having a good conversation. There was a customer there that bought some medicine but the receptionist had no change for the bill. Luckily, I brought with me the money from our paluwagan (solidarity bank, translation from the internet) and had the bill exchanged. The customer and receptionist were so thankful. hehe... The receptionist even joked that I should go there more often for some change. HAHA! For every customer that left the clinic, you can see smiles on their faces. There was even a girl who left her phone but luckily she got it after coming back a few minutes later.

And now, for the moment of truth. It's my turn! Wahaha! :P The attendant bleached my underarms first for about 15 minutes. She told me it would hurt due to muscle strain because I would have my arms placed at my head to show my underarms. Oh, it really hurts to make yourself beautiful, eh? LOL! I took power naps but after a few minutes I felt the strain. huhu... When my bleaching was over, we proceeded to the IPL session. She made me wore goggles for protection and warned me of the pinch-like pain during the procedure. It didn't hurt but you could really feel the pinch. HAHA! Then, she shaved and cleaned it. That's it! I'm done. It was fast, wasn't it? The IPL was even faster than the bleaching. LOL. After that, they scheduled me for my next session. I asked them if I can reschedule it in case I have something going on that day and they answered "yes". Well if that's just the case. :D hehe...

Well all in all, I like the way they try to make their customers comfortable with their scheduling and services. They're also very friendly and polite. And because of that, I would be considering to avail other services from them with or without discounts. :)

Fun fact:

The IPL or Intense pulsed light treatment method is not a permanent hair removal. It will just reduce the hair of the treated area. I've searched it in the net. :D hehe...
